Kenne Blessin - Quick Fire Q&A
What project are you currently working on?
An EP which I am bringing out this year.
And for those that don’t know, tell us what an EP is?
It’s a collection of 5-7 songs and is not qualified as an album.
Of all the shows you have done in the last few years, large or small, which is the best and why?
Holi Festival in Zurich. It was good to see my European appeal.
Are you right or left handed?
I’m pretty ambidextrous though left handed when I write. I’m also learning to play the guitar and I’m left with that too.
What is your favourite item of clothing?
Sunglasses and sometimes hats.
Are you superstitious?
No, I believe the universe already crafted our destiny.
Do you have any lucky charms?
Which global venue would you like to perform on?
Reggae Jam Festival, Jamaica Festivals, O2 in London and any worldwide festivals, infact I’ll go anywhere the music takes me!
If you could share the stage with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? I don’t know, this depends on the booking and who the promoter has lined up.
We have heard that you write most of your songs, is there a format or process you follow when doing this?
Depends on the beat and genre, the vibes do the rest. Sometimes I create my own beat.
Do you have a favourite piece of jewellery you wear?
No, depends on my mood.
How many of the World’s 7 continents have you performed in?
Europe and North America but I intend to do at least 3 more in the next couple of years.
Asia, Africa and South America!
Do you see your music as having global appeal and why?
Of course. I think of myself as an international artist. I have travelled extensively with my music and have always been well received. I am fortunate to work with many global producers who add their cultural flavour.
